Japan's agricultural imports increased significantly

The Ministry of Finance announced that exports had experienced for the first time a fall of 2.2% in sixteen months. Imports increased by 11.9%.
Japan increased its volume of vegetable imports by 24.7% to compensate disruption of the agricultural sector.
Fruit imports rose by 11.2% by volume. This trend should continue for months.
The Council for Foreign Trade provides a drop of at least 20% of Japanese exports in the coming months.
