The Turkish pomelo hits the market

Turkish commission to test the maturity of pomelo preferred to delay the harvest autorisation by a week compared to the previous season to ensure the organoleptic qualities of the fruit.

According to the decision issued by the Mediterranean Exporters Union, the cut of the Star Ruby variety will be permitted from October 8 and its export October 13.

The Turkish citrus season began this year with delays due to poor weather conditions early in the year that would have affected the formation of the first flowers in May.
