Demand remains slow for grapefruit
After several weeks of low supply levels, the market has cleared and prices have begun to strengthen.
Volumes have remained relatively moderate, particularly regarding grades 40/45.
Deliveries have continued to be limited.
Furthermore, the last cheap SAR stocks in grades 40/45 have disappeared and the quality of a large part of the Honduran brands has still some difficulties to convince the buyers.
In this context, despite the fact that demand remains quite slow, Mexican fruits sales have continued to activate. Hence, not only have Mexican prices strengthen for grades 40/45 but also for fresh South African fruit.
