Opened JSC "Rudakovo" plans to increase 13.6% the greenhouse vegetable production in 2008

Opened JSC "Rudakovo" (Vitebskaya region) plans to produce 5,200 tons of greenhouse vegetables this year, or 13.6% more than the past year level, the enterprise Informed "Interfax".
The interviewees pointed out that the supplies of the first shipment started February 8th. "At present, 260 tons of newly harvested cucumbers have been supplied to the trade", they pointed out. The tomato sales will start in the first decade of April.
The enterprise specialists specified that the increase of vegetable production will be possible, in particular, due to the launch of 1.95 ha of new greenhouses to grow cucumbers.
When the new greenhouses are launched, the total greenhouse cultivation areas of OJSC "Rudakovo" will reach 13.15 ha. Dutch technology of vegetable production is applied here. All greenhouses are equipped with the climate control and automatic drip irrigation systems. The enterprise plans to launch 1.6 ha of greenhouses by the end of this year; the "photoculture" technology (intensive illumination) will be applied here.
Also, the mounting of the line for transplants and fresh herbs production will be finished this April. The interviewees pointed out that the development of the greenhouse complex becomes possible due to the loaned funds of the National Bank.
Opened JSC "Rudakovo" grows agricultural products. In addition to the greenhouse vegetables, the farm possesses the cultivation areas for the field products. The enterprise sells vegetables in Vitebsk and Vitebskaya region, and also in Minsk.
Opened JSC "Rudakovo" was founded in 2004 on the basis of the enterprise "Rudakovo"; it belongs to the Opened JSC "Agri-complex "Machulischi"". The enterprise employs around 600 persons.
