Turkey tomato production to increase slightly

Fresh tomato production in Turkey is estimated to increase by about 3 percent to 9.7 million tonnes for the 2005 market year. Increased production is due to more greenhouses and a bigger demand. Exports of fresh tomatoes are expected to reach 275,000 tonnes, with Russia being the main export market.
