Market for mâche continues to grow

The market for mâche, which began in the second half of October, is up by 7 percent this year, with 26,000 tonnes versus 24,180 tonnes last year. Fresh cut bags and tubs represent 90 percent of volumes sold, up by 7 percent in volume terms and 5 percent by value on last year. The export market for the product is also growing, notably with a 5.5 percent to Germany, and the Spanish market showing good potential after just four years of prospecting.
