Intermarché and Netto stop selling Southern Hemisphere apples
Groupement Les Mousquetaires reinforces its support for "Ferme France" by selling only 100% French apples since 2024.
Intermarché and Netto are stepping up their support for French producers and will only be selling apples of 100% French origin. The chains are thus putting an end to the sourcing of apples from southern hemisphere countries such as Chile and South Africa. By 2024, 96% of apples sold by Intermarché and Netto will be of French origin. Thanks to the work carried out with French producers and the listing of different varieties, the Group's brands will now be able to offer 100% French apples throughout the year at all sales outlets.
"Intermarché Terroir" initiative
This additional commitment is in line with the announcements made on November 4, 2024 by Groupement Mousquetaires in support of "Ferme France". The "Intermarché Terroir" label announced among the eight measures will be gradually rolled out in stores during the first half of 2025.
