Carrefour could announce its withdrawal from some countries as early as August.
The withdrawal from some countries seems inevitable to redress the Carrefour Group, say analysts.
The situation of the Carrefour Group is complicated with lower sales and policy errors leadinf to disappointing results. The only solution is to limit the size of the business by selling some branches.
Early withdrawals may
affect Argentina, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Romania, Taiwan and Turkey. This could be followed by Belgium and Greece.
Analysts estimate that these withdrawals will be announced in August at the time of publication of the results of the first half of 2012.
