The potatoes production is going to establish a new record

Record production level for the potatoes in Senegal.

Production will exceed 50 000 tonnes for 2015. The government campaign goal of reaching 47,000 tons in 2017 is largely exceeded. Production in previous years revolved around 20 000 to 40 000 tons.

The action plan ( support and assistance to farmers , marketing) is effective. The only difficulty to overcome is the lack of storage facilities for conservation.
