Europe has received the first lemon ship from Argentina (Photo: agqlabs.com.ar).
The Dutch port of Vlissingen received the first vessel loaded with lemons from Argentina. The cargo is destined for the European market.
On May 8, the ship M.V. "Baltic Winter" reached the port of Vlissingen (Netherlands). The shipment of lemons from NOA (Noroeste Argentino) is destined for the European market. The MV Baltic Winter is the first ship in a series of 8.
According to the calendar, a ship is expected every 2 weeks until August / mid-September. The volume forecast for the coming period is significant, on average nearly 4,000 pallets for the first 4 arrivals and even, thereafter, up to 5,000 pallets. The total volume is estimated at around 40,000 tonnes of lemons.
