Florida faces two-year citrus canker battle

Officials of the Florida citrus industry have said that it will take at least two more years to eradicate the current outbreak of citrus canker in the state. Citrus canker has spread to 22 counties in Florida following the hurricanes of last year, forcing growers to destroy 2½ million trees since the beginning of the year.
