Sharka affecting peach production in south of France

Sharka (also known as plum pox virus) has created widepsread damage in certain parts of the Drôme department in France.
Whole orchards have to be cut down if the number of infected trees reaches 5 percent of the total number, and this could mean that in the space of 5 years certain areas may see their production wiped out altogether.
