Stone fruit export season is in full swing

According to traders from Guangzhou's Jiangnonghui wholesale market, this spring, China is covering market demand for stone fruit mainly with imported products. The country imports small volumes from Australia, but most of the imported nectarines and plums come from Chile.
Until week 7 (February 14-20), Chile exported 27,952 tons of plums and 28,065 tons of sugar plums globally, most of the latter to China.
According to the ASOEX Stone Fruit Committee, nectarine exports totaled 65,152 tons in the same period. The peaches and nectarines from the Metropolitan and O'Higgins regions were medium in size, but larger varieties are expected in the coming weeks.
For this season, the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX)
