Migros buys out Scana Alimentation SA

The federation of the Migros co-operatives buys out Scana Alimentation SA to Scana Holding SA. This company is part of one of the largest Swiss wholesalers supplying restaurants, hotels, hospitals or other wholesalers. This acquisition fits Migros strategy that aims at expanding the consumer wholesale sector. It has to be noted that the assortment of the Scana Alimentation-branded products remains the basic trading activity, but this assortment will be completed by fresh produce in medium term.
