Spanish exports to non-EU countries increased in August.
According to data from the Directorate General of Customs, Spanish exports to non-EU countries increased by 52% compared to August 2013, exports have reached 43 123 tonnes for a turnover of 35.13 million Euro 'is up 15% compared to the same month of 2013.
By country, the progressions are varied: Brazil with 15,395 tonnes (69%), Algeria with 7221 tonnes (145%), the United Arab Emirates with 4987 tonnes (62%) and Saudi Arabia with 2,320 tonnes (+17%) and South Africa with 1,316 tonnes (6%).
Exports to non-EU countries account for only 7% of total Spanish exports and do not compensate for the losses caused by the Russian ban.
