The mushroom sector affected by a fall in prices

In 2002, the mushroom sector in the Netherlands was affected by a 25% fall in prices leading to the discontinuance of business of 52 producers. The country, which still counts 400 producers in activity, generates an annual turnover of 550 million euros, but must face the increasingly severe competition of Poland.
