The German chocolate struck by the Turkish hazelnut.

The producers of the famous German chocolate are struggling as hazelnut production is lower prices shot.

On the other hand , for the Christmas celebrations , many consumers could not find hazelnuts in supermarkets. 75 percent of hazelnuts imported from Germany come from Turkey and in 2013, 102,000 tons of hazelnuts were purchased .

Cakes producers and chocolate based hazelnuts start using almonds. However, this means a change in labels and these products are not necessarily well received by the consumer.

The Ritter Sport company, famous worldwide for its chocolate , as no supply problem because it had already bought his crop last year but prices doubling may in the long term , this situation might becoming difficult for the company too.
