South Korean expert in NIR spectrometry invites everyone for rendezvous at Fruit Logistica
VU | SUNFOREST Co., Ltd.
The South Korean company Sunforest is known for its innovative portable Near-Infrared (NIR) Spectrometers. These devices are designed to measure crucial fruit characteristics in a non-destructive manner, allowing growers to gather accurate information about fruit sweetness, dry matter, and internal defects while the fruit is still on the tree.
General Manager Jay Hwang highlights the significance of Sunforest's technology, stating that with a Sunforest device, growers can save on product loss and achieve higher working efficiency.
Sunforest's clientele includes growers, packhouses, supply chains, agricultural labs, and seed companies. When questioned about the competitive edge of their product, Hwang confidently explains, "Compared to competitors, our product boasts superior accuracy, an affordable price point, and a user-friendly design."
Looking back on 2023, Sunforest reports remarkable success, having sold over 2,100 units. The company's growth trajectory has been consistent over the past five years. Notably, in 2023, Sunforest released the Avocado DM meter for the overseas market. Additionally, their Brix meter for shine-muscat grapes experienced significant growth in the Korean domestic market.
Sunforest is gearing up to showcase its latest innovations at Fruit Logistica, where they plan to demonstrate a non-destructive fruit testing. The highlight of their showcase will be the measurement data displayed on an orchard map, enabling growers to enhance fruit yields and quality.
For those attending Fruit Logistica, Sunforest's stand can be found in Hall 3.1 / D-37.
