Overview of current prices for strawberries, raspberries and blueberries in Andalusia.

Strawberry prices continue to decline, raspberries also perform a slight decrease, while blueberries have rebounded, but remain below prices reached in the 2 previous seasons, according to the weekly report of Observatory of Prices and Markets of the Agriculture Department of the Junta de Andalucia.
Strawberry. As for this berry, the average prices at origin continue to fall, showing a drop of 5.6 percent compared to week 5, standing at 2.19 euros per kilo. This price is slightly higher than in the 2018/2019 campaign (2.14 euros per kilo) and lower than in the 2019/20 campaign (2.53 euros per kilo).
The campaign began with the prices above 5 euros per kilo, which have decreased throughout December, reaching slightly below 3 euros per kilo. However, they rebounded in the first 2 weeks of January, reaching 3.34 euros per kilo.
Raspberry. Raspberry prices stopped the positive evolution observed during week 4 and week 5, falling by 9.8 percent compared to the previous week and standing at 7.01 euros per kilo. The price of week 6, as it happened in the 2 previous weeks, is above those registered in the past campaigns.
The price of this berry stood at 2.7 percent and 23.3 percent higher than the price of the 2019/2020 (6.83 euros per kilo) and 2018/2019 (5.69 euros per kilo) campaigns.
It is estimated that since the start of the 2020/2021 campaign, around 22.1 percent of expected production volume of this campaign has been marketed, judging by the average production marketed in 2016/2017 and 2018/2019.
Blueberry. After the contraction of the average prices at origin of this berry in week 5, in week 6 they have rebounded by 7.9 percent, reaching 6 euros per kilo. It is a price below those set in previous campaigns.
The price of blueberries stood at 16.7 percent and 8.1 percent lower than in the 2019/2020 (7.20 euros per kilo) and 2018/2019 (6.53 euros per kilo) campaigns.
