Increase in import taxes for onions and potatoes

Sri Lanka announced increases , effective immediately , for import taxes .These tax increase , with immediate effect according to the ministry , concern large onions and potatoes :

- Increase of 20 rupees for big onion , resulting in a total tax of Rs 30 per kilo.

- Increase of 15 rupees to the potatoes , which gives a total tax of Rs 55 per kilo.
