Higher blueberry volumes fail to lift Peru’s export revenue in 2025

The US remained the major destination for Peruvian blueberries.
In 2025, Peru shipped 387.8 million kilos of fresh blueberries, with exports worth USD 2.18 billion. Volumes were 14% higher than in 2024, but total export earnings edged 1% lower as prices weakened, according to Agrodata.
The average price dropped to USD 5.63 per kilo, compared with USD 6.53 a year earlier. This decline meant that even with more fruit moving overseas, exporters earned slightly less overall.
Most shipments were concentrated in the second half of the year. From August to November, Peru exported more than 276 million kilos, with October standing out at almost 95 million kilos. September and November also posted heavy volumes, and December closed the year with nearly 40 million kilos shipped.
The United States remained the main market for Peruvian blueberries, followed by the Netherlands. Other important destinations included China, the UK, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Spain and Canada, all of which continued to absorb steady volumes.
