The new potatoes campaign Selenella ends with excellent results.
Started in mid-May, the new potatoes campaign has just ended. Very good results, both in terms of product quality and in terms of volume (50 000 quintals) and marketing.
The brand Selenella, 100% Made in Italy potato, significantly increased its reputation. The volume of sales on the campaign 2013/14 increased by +16% compared to the previous year. In department stores, Selenella rose by +4.3% in volume and +20.2% in value, gaining 1.2 points of market share.
The new Selenella potatoes are grown and harvested mainly in the south of Italy. The production in 2014 recorded a high yield per hectare and the quality was very good thanks to the expertise of companies selected by the Consortium.
