Fruit Attraction, a 2020 edition at the service of reconstruction and recovery

Fruit Attraction adapts its format to continue to stimulate international commercial relations, minimize the risks for the companies involved and guarantee the safety and health of all its participants.
Fruit Attraction 2020, taking place from October 20 to 22 in conjunction with the new Fresh Food Logistics project, solutions for the entire cold chain, is continuing the organization and planning of its 12th edition, by integrating new elements at the show, and this with the aim of encouraging the reconstruction of international trade relations within the sector.
IFEMA and the Community of Madrid have agreed to dismantle the field hospital which is currently housed in its facilities during the next month of May. Maintenance and investment projects are planned for the summer months, thus ensuring an optimal state of the infrastructures for the resumption of activities from September. Over the next few months, IFEMA will be implementing new equipment. Thus, services such as the thermal solution for monitoring body temperature will be integrated to help prevent and control the people who frequent the site.
A new format is being developed in which "functionality and commercial utility intrinsic to the show" will be highlighted. This new format will have a component related to the safety and health of participants (access and capacity management, temperature controls, hygiene and sanitary measures, etc.). This implies moving from a concentration of visitors event to a model of concentration of buying and selling process, presentation of new products, innovation and knowledge for this new context of market and consumption.
Fruit Attraction will be held at a time when visitors from many countries will now be able to attend the event in person and when others will participate virtually via the new B2B-eMeeting service (video calls of 30 to 45 minutes), platform available for smartphones or laptop, with scheduled or spontaneous meetings between exhibiting companies and buyers from all over the world who are part of the Fruit Attraction digital community.
This platform will present new value propositions for remote customers. The intense specialized program of congresses, conferences, debates, etc., of the entire value chain will also take place in a mixed format and will start virtually on October 14 for the entire international community of Fruit Attraction, during the "VIRTUAL FRUIT FORUM". Daily events will be organized until 20 October, the opening date of the fair.
