Exceptional growth for fruit exports over the last 11 years.
For the period 2002-2013, Peru recorded an increase in the volume of its fruits exports + 805.4%, equivalent to an average annual growth of 22.2%.
In value terms, exports reported $ 1 296.7 million between January and November 2014 (45%) that is more than the same period in 2013 which had had a total of $ 894 million.
Regarding products, mangoes accounted for 44% of total exports in 2002 but only 20.5% today. Bananas decreased from 8.2% to 6.1% over the same period, mandarins from 8.1% to 4.1%. The grapes now account for 39.1% of exports and 15.8% for avocados.
