A new platform to diversify exports
FJ
A new platform in the port of Abidjan will help diversify export destinations of the Ivory Coast.
This new logistics infrastructure , thanks to financial support from Morocco, will be located at the port of Abidjan and will extend on 5 hectares. With this platform , the country will be able to diversify its exports which are so far concentrated mainly on Europe. The new goal is the MENA region ( Middle East, North Africa).
The segment " mangoes " should fully enjoy these new markets. The country is the world's 3rd largest producer of mangoes (after Brazil and Peru ) with 18 000 tonnes per year but only 2,000 tons are exported.
