Carrefour helps the agriculture and opens stores in India

French hypermarket chain Carrefour launched last week a programme on the outskirts of the city to train farmers to increase the yield of their crops.
This "green house nursery" will allow to improve the cultures of cherry, tomatoes and peppers by a better choice of seeds and new techniques. The harvests will be more premature and quality and yield will be better.
Carrefour will buy these fresh products directly to farmers and promises to pay them better than a usual intermediary.
