Edeka succeeds with wide assortment and freshness
New Edeka Marktkauf store in Belm stands out for its wide selection of 60,000 idems across 6,100m2 sales area, personalized service and unique atmosphere.
The new Edeka Martkauf store at 2 Haster Straße in Belm recently opened to all customers. They can expect a wide range of products and a personalized service right from the start. Across a sales area of around 6,100 m2, customers can expect a high-quality and diverse selection of fresh produce, as well as well-known branded goods, EDEKA’s own-brand products, regional specialties, and vegetarian, vegan and organic products. The fruit and vegetable section attracts customers with local, seasonal and exotic fruits from all over the world and is significantly larger than in the previous store. In addition, the large salad bar is stocked daily with salads freshly prepared on site. Throughout the store, the focus is on freshness in EDEKA quality. Key unique selling points include the spacious service counters for meat, sausage, fish and cheese, as well as on-site baked goods.
Shoppers holistic experience
It is ensured by the comprehensive catering concept, located in the pre-checkout area of the store. Combined with the service counter for baked goods and the adjoining Café Marktzeit, the Marktkauf store offers a welcome opportunity to take a break. With over 100 seats indoors and outdoors, shoppers can round off their visit in a relaxed atmosphere with one of the many coffee specialties and a snack. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, the dining area is an inviting meeting place for all generations.
Easy checkouts, regional products
To speed up the payment process, there are three self-service checkouts and two “Easy Shopper” checkouts in addition to the eleven standard checkouts. Collaboration with local suppliers. A key focus of the product range is on regional products. “We work with many local suppliers to strengthen the local economy,” explains Torsten Westebbe, store director. The various regional suppliers include Kinnius from Osnabrück, Giersch from Westerkappeln, Sostmann from Bramsche and Lauwerth’s from Bad Iburg.
