Chilean fruits whose exports generate the highest income

From January to September 2022, Chile's fruit exports totaled 2.92 million tons, for a value of $5.991 million, which translates into an increase of 0.8% in volume and 3% in value, compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the report of the Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (ODEPA).
 
Of this total value, 70.7% corresponds to fresh fruit, 21.5% to processed fruit (preserves, juices, oils, frozen, dehydrated) and 7.8% to dried fruit (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, among others).
 
Fresh fruit shipments totaled 2.31 million tons ($4.235 million) from January to September 2022, which means an increase in volume of 0.5%, and a decrease in value of -0.4% compared to the same period in 2021.
 
The species that generated the highest income were cherry, 285,000 tons (+7.2%) for $1,500 million (+26.3%), table grapes, 604,996 tons (+16%) for $949.39 million (+4.4%), apple, with 546,552 tons (-7.6%), $481.1 million (-15%), blueberry, with 90,363 tons (-6%) for $3572.99 million (-26.3%).
