WOP DUBAI, the Middle East’s leading exhibition for fresh fruits and vegetables continued growing! 20% visitor’s increase, 18% growth on the number of exhibitors and 21% more space covered.

 

For the eighth consecutive year, WOP DUBAI was under the patronage if His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality. The show was inaugurated by H.E. Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality and organized in cooperation with the Dubai Municipality.

 

The total outcome of the show was reflecting the huge progress of the trade of perishables all over the Middle East. The continuous growth of WOP DUBAI was demonstrate its position as the prime trade fair for fresh produce in the region as well as strengthen the Emirate of Dubai as a worldwide trading center for fruit and vegetables.

 

Overall, 235 participating companies from 30 countries exhibited at WOP DUBAI 2016 and presented a wide range of products and services. The most important delegations were China, Egypt, France, India, Morocco, Turkey. other country pavilions were joining the show from Australia, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Portugal and Spain. According to Show organizers figures, 6,055 traders and industry professional from 78 different countries visited the exhibition with a growth of 20% compared to last year’s attendance.

 

The International Plants Expo Middle East - IPM DUBAI 2016 took place parallel to WOP DUBAI 2016. Total of 9,945 visitors’ attended both shows with the general growth of 18% from the last year’s figures.
