Forecast of + 13% in volume for exports of fruits, berries and nuts

According to the results of the first 10 months of 2021, berries accounted for 45% of all exports (Photo: fuit-ukraine.org).
According to estimates by UCAB (Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business), Ukraine should record this year an increase of + 13% in volume for its exports of fruits, berries and nuts. The main destination is the EU which accounts for 86% of export earnings.
For 2021, according to estimates published by UCAB (Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business), Ukraine should reach an exported volume of 177,000 tonnes of fruits, berries and nuts, i.e. + 13% compared to 2020.
Previously apples and nuts were the majority in Ukrainian exports, but according to the results of the first 10 months of 2021, berries accounted for 45% of all exports. Among these berries, raspberries represented 20% of exports and blueberries 17%.
The main destination is the EU which accounts for 86% of export earnings. Among the EU countries, the biggest importers of Ukrainian products are Poland (34% of revenue), Germany (9%) and France (8%).
