Anecoop continues to grow and welcomes a new member

After many years of fruitful collaboration, the company Hortofrutícola Costa de Almería S.L., specialized in the production of peppers, cucumbers, eggplants, watermelons and melons, joins the Anecoop cooperative as a partner. Anecoop S.Coop sells more than 840,000 tonnes for export.

 

The total production volume of Hortofruticola Costa de Almeria SL exceeds 160 million kilos, of which pepper, cucumber, eggplant, watermelon and melon, offering the production of the V range. Today the company counts around 700 employees and has 3 reference warehouses: Paraje la Cumbre, San Agustín and Cehorpa. All of its reception, handling and packaging centers are Global G.A.P and GRASP certified, with a total of 258 farmers and 1,012.3 hectares. They also have BRC and IFS certificates. The current trend of the company is to promote the use of integrated control techniques that are more respectful of the environment.

 

With the incorporation of the company Hortofruticola Costa de Almeria S.L., Anecoop strengthens its presence in the province of Almeria and in particular increases its horticultural offer, which currently represents 25.3% of its sales volume.

 

The Anecoop group is one of the largest international companies in the distribution of citrus, vegetables, wine and fruit. It is the leading Spanish exporter of fruit and vegetables with more than 840,000 tonnes sold per year. It currently has 72 cooperatives and fruit and vegetable and wine companies with more than 25,000 farmers. The group has 5 sales offices in Spain and 11 subsidiaries abroad.
