Excellent performance for the port of Barcelona

The port of Barcelona is in net increase in its container traffic , for both exports and imports.

The port of Barcelona announces an increase of 11% of container traffic in January , with a total of 156,380 TEU ( container equivalent to 20 feet ) . containerized cargo exports rose by 15% and imports by 9% .

Trade with China, the first trading partner, continued to grow at a rate of 21% for exports and 18.5% for imports during the month of January. Other destinations confirm that export activities are intensifying with Algeria (+ 15%), the USA (+ 8%), the United Arab Emirates (+ 176% ), Turkey (+ 10% ) and Saudi Arabia ( + 125 %).
