The turbines to generate electricity for storage
FJ
Lack of refrigerated storage, a large part of the production of Fruit & Vegetables is lost. To remedy to this situation, we need electricity and "tidal" could provide.
A tidal turbine is placed on the water and half submerged using the kinetic energy of rivers, such as a wind turbine uses the kinetic energy of the air. Hydrokinetic turbine allows the conversion of hydraulic energy into mechanical energy, which is then converted into electrical energy by a generator.
The generated electricity makes possible the installation of storage and agricultural processing centers. One project involves the installation turbines on the Congo River, near the village of Loubassa.
The challenge is not technological, according to its creators a tidal turbine is not complicated, but financial. It is much more difficult to find the necessary funding (100-150 000 euros).
