The threat of a trade war between the United States and China is suspended

According to US negotiators, this year there could be a significant increase in volumes exported by the agricultural sector.
Negotiations continued between the two countries, a Chinese delegation came to Washington. No real agreement yet but a statement of intentions that reduces tensions.
The aim was to put an end to the "trade war" through the increase in the two countries of tariffs for certain products. The United States had announced that it was aiming for a significant reduction in the merchandise trade deficit with China. The meeting allowed for the adoption of a consensus between the two countries.
China and the United States will not engage in a trade war and will not increase their tariffs. On the contrary, they will strengthen their commercial cooperation in several fields (energy, agricultural products, high technology, finance). Without providing figures, the two countries agreed on an increase in US exports in the agricultural sector.
Discussions will continue and an American delegation will visit China.
