Apple production is slightly down

Estimates at the beginning of July show that domestic apple production is down by 8% over 1 year and 10% below the 2012-16 average.
A publication AGRESTE estimates that the frost wave in April will affect French production of apples. Estimates as of July 1, 2017, production would be 1.376 million tonnes (1.5 million tonnes in 2016).
Or a decrease of about 8% over 1 year and 10% compared to the average 2012-16. These losses due to frost are very variable depending on the region and the location of orchards.
