Peaches and Nectarines ROMAGNA IGP, the first campaign with the protection of the Consortium

Pesca e Nettarina di ROMAGNA IGP, the new certification for the region that offers in Italy the highest number of recognized certifications.
On the threshold of a season when the Italian production of peaches should fall by 16% the producers of Peaches and Nectarines ROMAGNA IGP are however confident. The 2018 campaign begins on June 21st and is the first campaign with the protection of the Consortium. The certified original product generates a certain added value.
The name Romagna Peaches and Nectarines IGP ensures the certified origin of the region. It represents for the members of the Consortium a remarkable element of differentiation which brings an opportunity of certain valorization.
The Consortium, based in Ferrara, ensures the respect of the regulations and controls the quality of the products. At the level of the producers as at the level of the sales channels where the relevance of the indications of origin is checked. In particular attempts to counterfeit or misrepresent the origin as it is usual with recently certified products.
The ROMAGNA IGP Peaches and Nectarines Campaign will continue until the first week of September.
