Russia, Indonesia and the Middle East are important importers of Pakistani Kinnow.
In Pakistan, the Kinnows export season, which has just started since 1st December, will be less satisfactory than the previous year.
According to the Pakistan Importers and Merchants Association (Pakistan), the export target for kinnows has been reduced to 325,000 tons, 50,000 tons less than last year.
Production of kinnows is expected to reach 2 million tonnes this year, but due to a lack of good quality fruit, the export target has been reduced.
Last season the export volume totaled 375,000 tons generating $ 200 million in revenue. For this season, the planned volume of 325,000 tonnes is expected to bring the country $ 180 million.
