Volume and value increase for Turkish exports of fresh fruit and vegetables

If Turkish exports to other sectors have slowed, fruit and vegetable professionals are seeing an increase in volume and value for their exports.

 

 

 

According to the association of exporters from the western Mediterranean, the appearance of the new coronavirus pandemic had no negative impact. The value of fresh fruit and vegetable exports increased by 27.6% for the period from January 1 to March 19, reaching $ 581 million ($ 455 million last year). Volumes increased by 11.3% over the period, reaching 956,000 tonnes (858,000 tonnes last year).

 

 

 

These exports went to 85 countries, Russia remains the leading importer of fresh fruit and vegetables stuff. Romania, Ukraine, Iraq, Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Serbia, Georgia and Saudi Arabia follow.
