More Turkish citrus in Russia in the first quarter of 2015

According to statistics published by the Mediterranean Exporters Union , there was a significant increase in citrus exports to Russia compared to the 1st quarter of 2014. This increase is 39% for oranges, 47% for lemons , 41 % for small citrus fruit and 37% for Grapefruits (in quantity).

Apart from oranges , the first importing country is Iraq , Russia is the country importing the most Turkey citrus for the first three months.

After a first half of very difficult season for citrus producers and exporters, it seems that Russia wants to compensate for the problems early in the season .
