The Peruvian company CAMPOSOL published very good results for 2016, its sales increased by 3.7% and its net profit by 380.6% compared to the previous yearTurnover and net profit up for CAMPOSOL which explains its performance by volumes and prices of blueberries and avocados.
CAMPOSOL announced 2016 sales of $ 300.5 million (+ 3.7% vs. 2015) and net income of $ 83.7 million (+ 380.6%). The company sold 82,000 tons of products in 2016 compared to 104,200 tons in 2015. The agro-industrial sector attributes these results to crustaceans (shrimps in particular), as well as to grapes, avocados and blueberries.
While sales declined by 50.9% for asparagus, as a result of the decision to withdraw from this sector, other products showed higher results. Better performance for blueberries with sales up by 106.2%, sales of avocados remain stable and profitable.
The outlook for growth is considered excellent. The consumption of avocados and blueberries is increasing in the main markets. Demand is increasing in the United States and Europe. Not to mention China where the company also expects a significant increase in sales.
