Half of the broccoli crop would be compromised

The Great Britain has just experienced a particularly harsh winter with heavy snow that blocked the country and temperatures often below zero.
These long periods of freezing temperatures have affected agricultural production. Vegetables are particularly affected.
The National Farmers Union's Horticulture Board estimates that production of cabbage will be well below expectations and expects a harvest of broccoli down 50%.
The cold conditions caused nearly a month late, and producers are not able to provide the volumes expected in this time of year. The National Farmers Union's Horticulture Board expects a price increase inevitable for British consumers.
