The upgraded SITC platform introduces new digital functions while maintaining existing certification procedures.
Argentina's National Food Safety and Quality Service (SENASA) has introduced an updated version of its Citrus Traceability Information System (SITC), with registration for the 2026/27 export campaign opening on October 19.
New digital functions
Developed over nearly two years, the platform introduces self-management tools, improved interoperability and an AI-based assistant to support users.
The upgrade aims to simplify administrative procedures without changing existing phytosanitary certification requirements.
Citrus producers and exporters must register their establishments through the updated platform between October 19 and November 13, 2026.
The system will continue supporting production traceability and phytosanitary controls for citrus exports.
