Lulu Retail targets 400 stores in the Gulf by 2027

“We hold today an estimated market share of 45% of modern food retail in the Gulf countries” Said Mr Zulfiker, head of the perishable sourcing at Lulu Supermarkets. With 286 store today, the chain is present in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrein, Kuwait, India and Egypt. “Our target is to achieve 400 stores by 2027” revealed Zulfiker, during a brief interview at Fruit Logistica Berlin. Stronger focus is made today on varietal brands and club varieties to drive more sales and customer loyalty.
