Shipments from the region showed marginal growth year on year while maintaining its position within the national export structure.
The region of Lima exported 21,937 tonnes of fresh blueberries during the 2025/2026 campaign, marking a modest 1% increase compared with the previous season, according to data from the Asociación de Productores y Exportadores de Arándanos del Perú (Proarándanos). The region accounted for 6% of total national shipments.
Production in Lima covered about 1,671 hectares, with plantings led by the Biloxi and Eureka varieties, followed by Ventura and Emerald. The mix reflects the continued use of established cultivars alongside newer genetics aimed at improving yields and fruit quality.
While Lima remains a smaller contributor compared with Peru’s main producing regions, the latest figures indicate stable performance and consistent participation in the country’s export programme during the current campaign.
