Bad for citrus, cold is beneficial for almonds

Low temperatures do not threaten all cultures, even inCalifornie.

Unlike citrus growers who are worried for their harvest, almond growers rejoice low temperatures observed in California (see our info from 11.12.2013).

The cold is the best thing that can happen now, said a producer. Trees need about 500-600 hours of cold between November and mid-January.
