This season, numerous Marlene promotional activities have been planned for other recently emerged Southern European markets.
Italy, Spain and Cyprus: this year the apple growers’ association based in Terlano (BZ) has planned numerous activities for the largest markets in Southern Europe.
Despite being the main end market for the apples with the blue label produced by the Terlano-based VOG Association, Italy is not the only country at the centre of VOG’s Mediterranean sales and marketing strategies. This season numerous Marlene promotional activities have been planned for other recently emerged Southern European markets.
Television adverts, competitions, street marketing, in-store promotions and public relations: an intensive communications and marketing campaign is already underway in support of the sales strategy of VOG, which aims to consolidate its presence in these markets.
“Exports have always accounted for a sizeable share of our turnover and at a time when some of our traditional markets are stagnating, it is important to find new outlets for our apples,” said VOG Director Gerhard Dichgans.
“In this context the countries of the Mediterranean represent an excellent chance. Consumers have shown great interest in our brand and in Marlene® apples, responding enthusiastically to the many marketing initiatives we have planned,” he added.
Italy: TV adverts, a competition and new communication channels
Following the ad flights scheduled at the start of this year, with spots starring the Marlene® Apple tree broadcast from January 23th to February 6th on the main national TV stations, March 1st saw the start of a new contest.
