Italian kiwis enter the Korean market.
In the country, the first 100 tons of kiwifruit arrived, and the first kiwis were sold at an Emart store in Seoul on March 21st. Emart is one of the largest retail chains in the country, with 148 outlets.
The approval process for the entrance of Italian kiwis in the Korean market required 7 years. Kiwis are the first fresh produce imported from Italy. Apples should follow, according to Fabio De Cillis of the Italian Commission for Foreign Trade (ICE) in Seoul.
