The Compagnie Fruitière group is now independent from Dole

The Compagnie Fruitière group and Dole Food Company Inc. announced that Dole sold its minority shareholding in the "Compagnie Financiere de Participations," holding company of Compagnie Fruitière Group, to the controlling shareholder.

This transaction puts an end to 21 years of cooperation. Dole and Compagnie Fruitière decided by mutual agreement that it would be preferable that the two companies separately pursue their growth objectives. They can continue to work as a supplier or customer of the other, if it joined their interest.

Fruitière Compagnie is the largest producer of fruits (bananas, pineapples, tomatoes) in the ACP (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific) and one of the main operators of fruit in Europe. It employs more than 18,000 people worldwide.
