Germany expects an abundant harvest this season (+38%), which will limit imports compared to the previous year.
According to the latest estimates by the Federal Statistical Office.
Destatis, the Federal Statistical Office announces that the 2014 production of cherries could reach about 51,900 tons, an increase of +38% compared to the 2013 campaign.
This year, with a soft, dry spring, weather conditions were favorable for a good production. Unlike last year when the weather caused poor harvest.
