A European budget for the distribution of F & V to school

For the period 2015/16 a budget of € 150 million will be spent over the European Union by co-financing the Fruits & Vegetables distribution program in schools.

The total amount is identical to 2014/15 and will be distributed among the member countries participating in this Inititiative " School Fruit Scheme" .

Germany will receive EUR 27.96 million ( EUR 22.8 million last year ), Italy EUR 26.9 million ( EUR 29.2 million last year ), Poland EUR 18.07 million (EUR 20.5 million last year ), France EUR 15 million ( EUR 15 million last year) .

With a potential of 12 million children from the 25 Member States , the European funds will be supplemented by a national or private co-financing of around € 32 million said the European Commission.

The actions related to this program will be able to start on 1 August.
